Early to work and getting my regular venti shot of whatever it is that has become my regular. And as the barrister was about to hand over the cup. She noticed something that looks like a spill or was it a leak, I dont quite know. But what she did next, totally threw me off my regular routine.

What did she do?
She doubled the cup. Yes! she doubled the cup... As I was looking at what was going on. She handed the cup over without the sleeve to further throw me off from my monotonous morning regime. She prolly noticed the quized look on my face and then she said, "I double the cup". Still trying to figure out why the "SLEEVE" was not part of my setup this morning as if the sleeve was part of the great coffee taste.

So I obviously took the cup of coffee and left. But, I could not seem to be able to push the thought away. Why the sleeve anyways? Obviously there is a reason for the sleeve. Chief reason being that if you have a hot drink that sleeve would protect you from the quick heat transfer that would make the palm of your hand complain about the unease. Then I realised that there are actually many more reasons for this, atleast from what I can see now.

See, just about a moment of holding that coffee I realized the exterior of the cup is uber smooth and could actually slip off my hand. So, this is for grip as well. Then, about a minute later I started feeling the heat through the doubled cup.

And I thought to myself, how many of us actually engage in activities that we dont have a background understanding about the things we are engaged in. We sometimes do not even know the reason why we do the things that we do. If it is done that way, then it must be the right way some may argue. Well, it is not always the case. Just reading a portion of the HOLY BIBLE, the gospel according to St. John Chapter 21. The third verse talks about the Apostle (Saint)Peter saying I am going fishing, resulting to the "familiar" after the death of the Lord Jesus. The chapter as it is, is very loaded but something that caught my attention was the six other disciples at this point saying we would follow you as well. Long story short, the endeavour would have been an excercise in futility if not for the Lord Jesus who showed up in the morning after they had toiled all night catching no fish.

Now my question is, do you really know why you are doing what you are doing?

Would you please take a moment this wonderful new day and think about your environment, your family, your life in general and look at the direction you are heading and ask your self....What is my purpose here?
